RECREATION TRAIL SYSTEM MASTER PLAN:
Hood River County Forestry Department's Recreation Trail System Master Plan development satisfied the mandate established by HRC Ordinance No. 277 (Chapter 12.10 Forest Recreation Trails) that the County Forest Recreation Trail Committee shall be involved in the creation of a Trail System Master Plan. A grant from the Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program of the National Park Service provided technical assistance to the County for development of the Plan. The Master Plan project began in January 2007 and was completed in December 2010. The Plan will be amended in the future as needed. The Plan was approved by the Hood River County Board of Commissioners on February 22, 2011.
